We’re in the dirt business, so we’re off road 50 percent of the time so they just, they just hold up they weren’t good for whatever we do. They’re way better than, than virtually any other offender we use because they can take the beating and if we have a problem with them that’s usually caused by us. Lose the grease
I got a Teflon plate on my trailer, that was, we were having problems keeping it on, um you know after a while I wore the screws off. So then when I found Minimizer, I mean it’s got a heavier hell because it was custom-made just for my fifth wheel, and I mean it fits great, it’s easy install.

I wish they would have had this. My father was a truck driver, because every time he’d come home on the weekends, I’d have to wash the truck, polish the stacks, polish the tanks. Sick Discs
So what we have here is a Minimizer slick disk and clip. This goes on the kingpin of the trailer, helps supplement the grease on the trailer, so we’ll show you how to put this up on the kingpin, and snap the clip into place. Okay so you slide the slick disk up over the kingpin. You can see the recessed area here? That recessed area is what’s gonna accept the clip and then the clip is dome-shaped – you’ll want to have the dome going up like this. What we use, is the cap off of a welding tank, we think that that works easiest because it slides up over the kingpin – it allows you to just get one hit with a hammer. And you’re all done.

Minimizer Tool Box installation
Welcome to Minimizer’s Tool Box installation video. In less than 2 minutes, you’ll learn how easy it is to install the Tool Box – in just a few easy steps – regardless of size or style. Select and mark the location for the Tool Box on your truck frame. Make sure the door can open and that there’s clearance for other brackets and moving truck parts. Position the first bracket, and mark with a center punch and drill two holes for one-half inch bolts using the bracket as a template. Fasten the bracket with ½ inch bolts, flat washers and lock nuts, which are not provided, however, it is important to use lock nuts. Position the second bracket by measuring inside to inside of brackets 24 or 36 inches depending on the Tool Box size. Now you’re going to position the second bracket. Mark, the center punch and drill two holes, 1/2 inch bolts using the bracket as a template. Fasten the bracket with 1/2 inch bolts, flat washers, and lock nuts – which again are not provided, but it is important to use lock nuts. Place the Tool Box on the brackets and open the door to make sure that the door can open completely. Drill four holes for 1/2 inch bolts in the Tool Box up from underneath using the brackets as templates. Fasten the Tool Box with 1/2 inch bolts, flat washers, and lock nuts, which are not provided. Again, it’s very important to use lock nuts. Do not over-tighten the four bolts through the Tool Box to prevent damaging the box. And there you have it – installation is a cinch. A business case for Minimizer Custom Molded Floor Mats
Two issues that we experience every day, um, in our industry, you got some driver turnover, and given that we have to, ah, from time to time, detail off the interior of the truck. So, my first thought was obviously the floor of the truck’s always dirty. We can remove the mats from the floor, put ‘em in a wash rack, take a pressure washer. Clean ‘em up, takes about 30 seconds. They’re indestructible, they’re perfectly clean, hang ‘em up on the wall to dry for two minutes, put them back in the interior of the truck and I got a clean floor again. And ah really the second factor was was just wear on the floor. Drivers always got cowboy boots or boots on. By putting the floor mats down that eliminates the wear on the floor – no more holes in floor mats – and it make ah cleaning easier in the truck – just infinitely easier. Let’s talk about the lifecycle of a truck at our company – being somewhere between 48 and 60 months – depending on market conditions. Over the course of four to five years, you could have as many as maybe eight or ten drivers, so I got to clean the interior of the truck completely up – maybe eight to ten times. Um, If it saves me two hours of time – every time – and it does, then pick a shop rate – call it $60 an hour for a detail shop – then you got $600 worth of time that the truck doesn’t have to sit in there with somebody scrubbing the floor. And I’m sure that over a 48 to 60-month period, we’d go through one mat per truck. And I think the acquisition cost of the mat is somewhere in the 200 to 225 dollar range, and I got about six hours of labor to put that in. So, take the two and couple them together, probably saved me $1,000 per truck for the life of the truck. So the bottom line is when you look at the price of the floor mat, and you look at the time savings for cleaning the truck, and the time savings, and the expense savings for not having to replace floor mats – pretty much a no-brainer.

Statistically the trucking industry is among the very highest in terms of incidents and severity of spine disorders. Seat Features
Hi there. Today we’re gonna be showing you all the features of the Minimizer seat. We’ll highlight where the controls are, and then demonstrate the different functions. We’ll start with the 14 standard features that come with every single Minimizer Long Haul Series seat. Number one – adjustable arm rests. Each armrest is controlled by a knob which you can find on the underside of each armrest. This allows drivers to set their own preferred height by simply rotating the knob, to the left, or the right. Now the nice thing about that is, each armrest features infinite adjustment – meaning there aren’t any predetermined angles or positions. You can just set the armrest at any angle you choose. And because each armrest comes with memory positioning, drivers can flip them up to clear space, and then put them back down to the exact same angle they were at before. Number 2 – full swivel base. This is one of the coolest features of the Minimizer seat, and I can control it right here near the front right corner of the seat.
If I lift up on this lever, I can simply rotate the seat inboard for easy access to the cab. Now this is really nice for drivers that have sleepers, or for ones that use their seat as an office chair – which many do. Number three – seat tilt adjustment. To adjust the tilt of your seat cushion, the control is in front right here. When I pull up on the control, I can adjust the angle of the cushion to ensure support and ride comfort. Number four – seat cushion length adjustment. This feature allows you to move the seat cushion away from the seat back. The control is in front right here in the middle, and when I pull up on it, I can change the length of the cushion, without moving the backrest closer to the wheel. This allows for plenty of driver’s space while also maintaining proper support for your legs. Number five – fore aft adjustment. To control this feature, it’s really simple. Just pull up on the black metal bar here in front, and this allows me to slide the entire seat top – that’s both the cushion and the back – forwards and backwards, on top of the base. Number six – fore apf lockable isolator. The isolator – or what some guys call the chugger – is controlled by this switch here. The isolator allows the seat to take fore and after force away from the driver during a load shift, and it also removes force during hard braking and acceleration. Of course if you don’t want the isolator engaged, all you have to do is flip the switch, and you’ll feel a lot more give in the base. Some drivers love the chugger feature, but those that don’t, simply flip the switch, and you’re good to go. Number seven – air dump. The air dump feature is controlled by the front switch along the left side of the seat. It allows the driver to dump the air from the suspension to make it easier getting in and out of the truck. When the driver gets back in, they simply flip the switch, and the memory seat returns to the preset height – with no need for readjustment. Number eight – adjustable shock absorber. This is controlled by a toggle on the left side of the seat. The adjustable shock allows the driver to adjust the firmness or softness of the ride. We all know that truck drivers come in different shapes and sizes, this is part of the seat’s adjustability. It allows you to customize it to your body type. Number nine – air height adjustment with memory. The height of the seat is controlled by this toggle here. The best part about this feature is the memory – no question. You can use the incremental settings to find a point which matches your preferred ride height. Number ten – lower air lumbar. Everyone hates a sore back, right? Well you can help support your lower back by using this feature which is controlled by this button here – on the left side of the seat. Now it’s obviously hard to show you a subtle feature like this, but I can tell you that I’m feeling it all along my lower back. It’s a back control device that inflates to your desired point, which allows for proper comfort and fit. Number eleven – upper air lumbar. Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about the upper back. its control is located right next to the button that controls lower air lumbar, and it also features an inflatable device that supports your upper back, and you can adjust it to give you whatever kind of support you need. Number twelve – side air support bolsters. So you’ve got lower air lumbar, you’ve got upper air lumbar, but with this seat, you’ve also got side air support bolsters, and what they’re gonna do is support the sides of your lower and middle back. Semi Truck Mattress
The short-term health of a truck driver is going to be impacted greatly by sleep because it’s gonna help fuel them and rejuvenate them for the next day’s long haul, right?
When we think about truck drivers
it is make sure that they’re not only getting the recommended amount of sleep, which is gonna be 7-8 hours, but they’re also gonna get a quality night’s sleep. Cuz if they’re sleeping seven to eight hours, but the quality is poor, then it’s not going to have the same effect on ‘em. And so that’s gonna affect their ability to react to the different situations that come about when they’re out on the road. And the other thing is that, you know, they sit and they bounce around in a seat for many hours a day and that’s going to cause compressive issues in their spine. So we’re looking to have them sleep in a nice solid position where they’re gonna have support that’s gonna allow the decompression of their spine overnight.
Person’s either gonna typically lay on their back or on their side – those are the best positions to lay in.
When they’re laying on their back, we want to make sure that that mattress conforms to their spine so that the major three curves in the spine are going to be supported, and they’re gonna kind of open up and allow for fluids to be pulled into those disks and for hydration and healing to take place throughout the night. When the mattress isn’t supporting right, then those curves are gonna have a tendency to flatten out. And so the downside is then we might get a little bit of pressure on some of the nerves that exits out the little holes to the side of the spine.
So now at night, when we’re trying to focus on healing, and that nerve’s being irritated a little bit, we’re just not going to heal as effectively and feel as refreshed the next day. When a mattress bottoms out, it’s hard and there’s just not a lot of give, and you wake up stiff and sore and not feeling real good. What I really like about this Minimizer mattress is that it doesn’t bottom out, and not only that, but it accommodates a wide variety of body sizes. So you could be a hundred twenty pounds and get the same support as somebody who’s four hundred pounds – which is fantastic. And not only that, but on each side of the mattress, there’s different firmness levels. So for instance, if you sleep on your back, you’re gonna have a tendency to want a firmer mattress that’s gonna support your spine. But if you sleep on your side, you’re gonna want something that has a little more give to it because your shoulder and hip joints just need a little bit more cushion so that they don’t get stressed as much during the night when you’re sleeping.
A traditional spring mattress is the one most people think of when they think of a mattress.
You know they’re good, but they have big springs in ‘em that just don’t have the ability to conform like some of the newer products on the market do. And so when you upgrade to say like a foam mattress, um you’re gonna see a difference in terms of how much it’ll mold and conform to your body. But the downside is it doesn’t have the reflex or rebound time that’s as quick as a latex mattress which is going to be a much quicker response time and contouring to your body. It’s exciting to see how quickly it rebounds and how good a support it actually gives and how well it is at contouring and molding to your body. The cool thing about a latex mattress, when it comes to body heat, is that it’s seven times more ventilated than a foam mattress and so it has the ability to cool you much better.
What we know is when you tend to warm up at night, one thing that happens is you tend to sweat, right?
So when you sweat, you’re gonna have a tendency to wake up a little more and be a little more uncomfortable. When you wake up more, you’re not gonna sleep as good – and so your quality sleep’s gonna go down. What we also know is that you lose about a half a liter of body water at night. And so now all of a sudden, if you’re warming up, you’re gonna tend to sweat more, you’re gonna lose more body water. That water’s got to go somewhere, right? So it’s gonna go down and absorb into the mattress. So the nice thing about a latex mattress is that it’s antibacterial and it is resistant to mildew, right? So you know when you think of these allergens, you think of people having congestion and a congested airway is a partially closed airway, right? So they’re not going to breathe as well at night, they’re not going to get as much oxygen. And sleep apnea is a big deal in the trucking industry, and so we want to make sure that people have open airways and are breathing good.
